Diferenciace křidélek (typicky větší dráha křidélek nahoru než dolů) se používá ke snížení nepříznivé výchylky a ke zlepšení ovládacích vlastností. Kladná hodnota bude mít za následek, že křidélka budou mít menší pohyb dolů, jak je vidět na grafu výše. (Výchozí = 0. Rozsah -100 až +100). Diferenciál na výškovce může být použit pro letadla, která chtějí menší rozsah nahoru a dolu, typicky pro závodní letadla.
