The integrated battery protection is based on undervoltage detection and reducing motor power, alternatively shutting down the motor completely. You are free to set the number of cells (or leave automatic detection) and low voltage threshold per cell. Supported battery types are NiXX (1.2V), LiFe (3.6V max) and LiIo/LiPo (4.2V max).
