Pro provoz motoru AP06 doporučujeme dva základní typy: palivo pro záběh nesmí obsahovat více než 15% nitromethanu a ne méně než 20% ricínového oleje. Použití paliva s větším obsahem nitromethanu nebo se syntetickým olejem způsobí, že motor poběží při příliš vysoké teplotě, což způsobí nadměrné opotřebení a poškození motoru ve velmi krátké době. Pro správný záběh musí palivo obsahovat ricínový olej, který zajistí běh při nižší teplotě. Jakmile je motor správně zaběhnut (po asi 45 minutách podle dále popsaného postupu s doporučeným zabíhacím palivem) můžete použít palivo s obsahem až 35% nitromethanu a ne méně než 16% ricínového oleje, přičemž je možno použít palivo se směsí ricínového a syntetického oleje.
^h Deutsch (de)	==== Empfohlener Kraftstof ==== Die Qualität und die Art des verwendeten Kraftstoffs haben einen großen Einfluss auf die Leistung und die Lebensdauer des Motors. Für den Betrieb des Motors AP06 empfehlen wir zwei Grundtypen: Einfahrkraftstoff darf nicht mehr als 15% Nitromethan und nicht weniger als 20% Rizinusöl enthalten. Die Verwendung des Kraftstoffs mit einem größeren Gehalt an Nitromethan oder synthetischem Öl führt dazu, dass der Motor bei einer zu hohen Temperatur läuft, was zu übermäßigem Verschleiß führt und den Motor in sehr kurzer Zeit beschädigt. Für ein richtiges Einlaufen muss der Kraftstoff Rizinusöl enthalten, um einen Betrieb bei einer niedrigeren Temperatur zu gewährleisten. ^h English (en)	==== Fuel Recommendation ==== Fuel can make a big difference in the way your engine performs and how long it will last. We recommend using two types of fuel with the KAVAN AP06. For the break-in period you must use a fuel containing no more than 15% nitro methane and no less than 20% Castor Oil lubricant. Use of fuel containing more than the recommended percentage of nitro methane or any synthetic lubricants will cause the engine to run too hot and result in excessive wear and engine failure in a very short period of time. To achieve proper break-in the fuel used must contain Castor Oil. Castor Oil will help keep the engine running cooler during the break-in period. It will also help carry away any residual debris from the engine without actually doing harm to the engine. Once the engine has been adequately broken-in (about 45 minutes of run-time using the recommended break-in fuel), a fuel containing up to, but no more than 35% nitro methane and no less than 16% Castor Oil and synthetic lubricant blended fuel can be used.
