A Note about idle performance: Because the carburettor has only one mixture needle, the engine‘s idle (low speed) will be high (in the 6,000 rpm range) until the engine is properly broken-in. After break-in, the engine‘s high speed needle valve will be set closer to peak rpm. Once this occurs, then a consistent idle will be possible (somewhere between 4,000 and 5,000 r. p.m.)
