During climbing be gentle on the controls; try to keep the model flying into the wind until you have about 100–150 metres of altitude. Climb slowly - too steep climbing may cause the model will stall and fall to the ground. You are at 150 metres - this is time to trim out your Cumul 100 at full power. Verze s elektrickým pohonem: Zapněte vysílač a potom přijímač (regulátor) a zkontrolujte znovu funkci celého modelu. Zapněte motor na plný plyn. Model vypusťte je mírným švihem proti větru (dobré je udělat přitom dva nebo tři kroky). Nechejte nejprve model poodlétnout, nesnažte se jej nutit hned do stoupání. Bystře reagujte kormidly, pokud je třeba, a vystoupejte s modelem do výšky 100–150 m. Stoupejte zvolna, nespěchejte, předejdete tak přetažení modelu, ztrátě rychlosti a pádu. Tak, a jste ve 150 metrech, je čas vytrimovat CUMUL 100 při plném plynu. Jakmile je vše v pořádku, tj. model při cca 30–40 % plynu letí přímo bez zatáčení, stoupání nebo klesání (pokud CUMUL 100 stále stoupá, bude nutno zvětšit vyosení motoru dolů), vypněte motor a otestujte CUMUL 100 za klouzavého letu.
